Bundesverband ausländischer Studierender (BAS)

The Federal Association of Foreign Students (BAS) is the national representative body for foreign and stateless students, as well as students with migrant backgrounds, in Germany. As a nationwide network of foreign student representatives at German universities, BAS advocates for the legal, social, economic, and cultural rights of international students, aiming to address structural disadvantages in areas such as immigration, labor, higher education, and social policy. The association works to ensure meaningful integration into university life and broader society, while also serving as a political voice for these students within academic institutions and in wider public discourse.
