About Us

Who We Are

Voicify – The European Forum for Youth with Lived Migration Experience aims to be the voice of youth with lived migration experiences in the EU and their self-led organisations, standing up for their rights, needs and interests, including their rights to organise and participate politically. Voicify – The European Forum for Youth with Lived Migration Experience advocates for fair participation and inclusion policies and strives for European societies where youth with lived migration experiences are included as an integral part of Europe, empowered and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

We, young people with lived migration experiences, want to have a better life in a more progressive, democratic, equal, inclusive, and decolonial European Union, characterized by a better access to rights, services and opportunities allowing us to live our true self and reach our full potential. We are eager to contribute towards addressing the pressing global issues that affect humanity at large including climate change and social and economic inequalities.

Our ultimate vision is a world in which VOICIFY is no longer needed, where migration is recognized as natural, where inclusion is the norm, and where all youth, regardless of background, have equal access to rights and opportunities. We work towards our own dissolution, envisioning a European Union that fully embodies the principles we advocate for: justice, equity, and decoloniality.

We organize from the ground up, rooted in the lived realities of our communities.

Intersectionality and Decoloniality:

  • Our methods are intersectional and decolonial. We create space where none is given, and we center voices that systems were built to silence.

Justice and co-liberation:

  • We build alliances with those who share our struggle for justice and co-liberation, recognizing that solidarity is our strength and resistance is our legacy. We organize actions to disrupt the narratives and systems that uphold oppression. We refuse tokenism and demand transformative inclusion, not as a gift, but as a right.

Radical honesty and principled transparency:

  • We work in radical honesty, knowing that change does not trickle down from institutions but rises from the people. We work with principled transparency, ensuring our advocacy is grounded in the realities of those most affected.

We aim at building a movement based on our theory of change. We believe that when youth with lived migration experiences are not only included but empowered as architects of policy, systems will transform. Our theory of change begins with shifting power, redistributing access, decision-making, and resources to those most affected by migration policies. Through capacity-building, grassroots organizing, and advocacy, we dismantle exclusionary frameworks and rebuild them from a foundation of dignity and justice. We engage institutions not to validate our existence, but to compel them toward accountability and transformation. We center knowledge from the margins and reject the myth of neutrality in policymaking. By amplifying the political agency of YREMASUD, we catalyze structural shifts, creating a Europe not of borders and hierarchies, but of belonging and co-liberation.

Through our work, we aim:

  • To promote a post-nation-state identity, recognizing that belonging transcends borders and that individuals should not be defined by nationality but by shared humanity,
  • To decolonize laws through a people-centered process, ensuring that legal frameworks reflect the lived realities of YREMASUD,
  • To enhance access to rights, opportunities, and services for YREMASUD on an equal basis with all youth,
  • To ensure the institutionalisation of equality, embedding non-discrimination and equity in all policies and practices, and
  • To hold institutions and individuals accountable for perpetuating inequality and injustice.
